Adoption & Viewing Hours
Monday–Tuesday: 10:00am–4:30pm
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday–Saturday: 10:00am–4:30pm
Sunday: 10:00am–1:30pm

Thank you for your time and interest in adopting a shelter pet!
Once submitted, the application is reviewed by the Board of Directors. This is to determine if your home is the right fit for the pet(s) you want to adopt. All applications can take up to 48 hours to be reviewed/approved.

Not Ready to Adopt?
Most animal shelters have a foster program for individuals who are not quite ready for adoption.
West End does not.
Why?
Given that we have a no-kill policy, all pets remain here indefinitely until they are adopted or pass away from old age. We are fortunate enough to be able to provide this promise of forever to every pet that comes into our care.
Did you know that in 2025, approximately 597,000 animals were euthanized?
Please consider fostering from animal control centers and/or shelters that do not have a no-kill policy. You'll be buying a pet extra time and/or another chance at forever. Who knows, you may fall in love!
