We Welcome Individuals needing to complete Court-Ordered Community Service.
We proudly accept individuals who are completing court-ordered community service hours. Your time helps support our mission and directly benefit the animals in our care.
Eligibility Requirements
To ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, animals and clients all participants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be able to perform assigned tasks independently.
- Must follow all shelter rules and staff instructions.
- Must be respectful toward staff, volunteers, animals and clients.

Offenses We DO NOT Accept
For safety and liability reasons, we do not accept individuals with:
- Violent offenses
- Animal-related offenses
- Open warrants or active investigations.

Available Tasks
Community service participants may assist with:
- Cleaning kennels and animal areas.
- Laundry and facility upkeep.
- Organizing donations.
- Basic maintenance tasks
Note: Direct animal handling may be limited based on experience and staff approval.

How to Get Started
1. Call to Confirm
Please call our Front Office to confirm you’re eligible to complete community service hours at our facility.
2. Hour Completion
Participants are responsible for meeting their court deadlines. Community service is completed on a walk-in basis during our normal business hours.
3. Departure
Once completed, you will receive a copy of your hours log showing you completed the required amount of hours alongside a letter from the shelter.
